Mankind has neglected one fundamental biological rule: to check and see if the organism is adapting to its rapidly changing environment. We are the first generation to be exposed to such an unprecedented number of chemicals. The body's work of detoxifying these toxins causes serious nutritional deficiencies. This maladaptation in turn, has resulted in chronic disease. But disease is not a drug deficiency.
The future of human health depends on our making some fundamental and significant changes in the materials we use and how we assess their safety. If we wait for the human data that come out like the animal data, we won't be breeding as a species. |
